The fourth Task Force Meeting was held Thursday, May 19th and attendees were given a sizable update on the planning process. In addition to further analysis of survey results and what they mean for the City of Wadsworth, the Task Force reviewed Objectives and Strategies for the final Plan and prioritized which should be implemented first.
There was also a big reveal of the new central gathering space designed with Task Force and City staff opinions in mind as well as significant input from the public as gathered through the planning process.
Come to the OPEN HOUSE this Wednesday to take part in the same activities and see the big reveal of the Plan!

The first Elected and Appointed Officials Meeting was held last night with Wadsworth's Planning Commission. The group was given a presentation which outlined the reasoning behind having a plan for Downtown, the approach taken to determine the plan, results from the public engagement to-date, and the plan framework.
This last piece (the plan framework) is still in flux but presents exciting new developments in the plan. We've analyzed the public input and developed plan "pillars," or guiding principles, to serve as overarching themes for the objectives and actions that will be developed in the upcoming weeks. Lastly, the Commission also reviewed three draft design concepts for a new central gathering space in the Downtown. These concepts will continue to be tweaked and developed moving forward but present some new and exciting options for advancing the heart of Wadsworth!

The Big Idea Gathering was held last night in the City's Council Chambers, the first of two public meetings held as part of the process to create the Wadsworth Visioning Downtown Plan.
A group of active residents came out to participate in the planning process, offering ideas and opinions about the future of Downtown Wadsworth. After a short presentation, the group was encouraged to provide insight into Downtown development and needs. If you would like to take part in the activities, they are available on the GET INVOLVED! page; the presentation can be found on the RESOURCES page.
Thank you to everyone that came out last night to participate! We appreciate your feedback!
The first Task Force meeting was held December 8th, 2015. A group of stakeholders from Wadsworth met with planning consultants from OHM Advisors, an Architecture-Engineering-Planning firm retained by the City to help guide this planning process. The group discussed existing conditions in the downtown, city, and region as well as general trends of the public planning realm.
The Task Force also began generating a vision of the future by sharing ideas regarding Issues and Opportunities in the downtown.
